Juwangsan National Park

Juwangsan Mountain (720.6m) is located in the Baekdu Mountain range, the backbone of the Korean peninsula. The mountain features deep valleys and many sheer rock cliffs to make it the third largest rocky mountain in the country. In addition, Juwangsan National Park also includes four waterfalls, caves, Daejeonsa Temple and other attractions for a comprehensive tourist site.

Jusanji Pond

Jusanji Pond is a small reservoir located in Juwangsan National Park. It is a man-made pond that was dug out in August 1720 and completed in October of the next year. The pond has been used as a source of water for agricultural use as well as for drinking water. Even though it is small in size, about 100 meters long, 50 meters wide and 7 to 8 meters deep, the pond has never dried up from any drought.

Daejeonsa Temple

This temple is said to have been built by Great Monk Uisang in the 12th year of King Munmu’s reign (672 AD). It was rebuilt in the 13th year of King Hyeonjong’s reign (1672) after a fire destroyed the original temple complex during the Imjin War against Japanese invaders. During work to renovate Bogwangjeon Hall in 1976, a text that had been put up with the ridge beams was found. Bogwangjeon Hall is a small building and its ceiling is in the form of the sharp symbol (#).

Cheongsong Apple Festival

Cheongsong Apple Festival is held in October and November every year to promote the excellent quality of apples grown in the area. Cheongsong, said to be a clean area, has the perfect conditions for superior tasty and quality of apples, from being surrounded by mountains with an average altitude that is quite high, providing a huge daily temperature range to the fact that there are no industrial factories in the area.

Sudalrae Flower Festival

Sudalrae Festival is held to pray for the unity and safety of county. A variety of events such as ancestral ritual formalities, concerts, flower string weaving contest, drawing feast, agricultural products & specialties market, and exhibitions etc are held every year.

Cheongsong National Ice-climbing Championship

This ice climbing contest takes place every year in early January at the Eoleumgol (ice) valley. It is the perfect place to see excellent ability to climb the ice cliff of climbers. In addition, the snow carving exhibit and sledding slope for children are prepared for families to enjoy winterhHoliday.

Cheongsong Apple National Mountain Marathon

Cheongsong Apple National Mountain Marathon takes place in the mid October around Jungdae Mountain, Pacheonmyeon, Cheongsong-gun. The course is made of 14km, and there is a chance to enjoy colorful tins of autumn leaves whiling running.
